Clara Barton and the legacy of nursing was celebrated at the Omni William Penn during the annual American Red Cross Ball Saturday night.
The party, which honored Diane Holder with the Distinguished Leadership Award, raised a record-breaking $450,000. Three Red Cross volunteer nurses, Pauline Amaismeier, Marjorie Montanari and Barbara Spier, were also recognized.
More than 370 guests applauded the success and enjoyed the big band sounds of Gary Racan & The Studio E Band. Among them were CEO Patricia Waldinger (with Dennis) and board chair Jim Garraux (with Cathy).
