A bottle of red, a bottle of white and oh what a night. The CLO Ambassadors 16th annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction Friday at the Duquesne Club had people begging to get into the sold-out benefit.
"This annual event and the base of the CLO Ambassadors have been growing and it's all thanks to Fred Leech," said CLO executive producer Van Kaplan. "His efforts have really energized the organization." Mr. Leech is president of the CLO Ambassadors, a group dedicated to increasing interest among young professionals in the performing arts and supporting the CLO programs.
This year's event chairs, Lisa Woods and Stephen Bloomburg, were among the VIPs who enjoyed a pre-party reception and first look at the auction items before more than 500 guests packed the ballroom and beyond. Entertainment included performances by CLO students and Center of Life Jazz.
Among the bidders and imbibers were Maryann Boehm (last year's raffle winner of the trip to Paris), Dara and John Henne, Debby and Dan Booker, Diana Kobus, Matt Sokolowski, Jane and Michael Dixon and David Bush.
