Bookworms invaded the Carnegie Library in Oakland en masse Friday night for the annual "After Hours @ the Library" benefit bash. Sold out for the third year with 500 guests, this soiree among the stacks has a loyal following and a French theme in "Vive la France." In honor of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's "Moulin Rouge," guests could enjoy photos with dancers, a silent auction of vintage library items, live-action French Monopoly, French fare and wines and cool jazz by Chico's Quintet. Among the readers and revelers were library director Mary Frances Cooper, principal ballerina Julia Erickson, Rebecca Verley and Richard Ernsberger, Anne Walker, Debby Thompson and Sue Banks.
