The new Porsche Boxster was kept hidden beneath a black cover until the time was right to unveil the car Thursday night at Auto Palace. The launch served as an excuse for a party, with proceeds from the auction going to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. Eyetique owner Norman Childs (with his wife, Gail) hosted the event, with fare from Cioppino and fabulous cucumber martinis prepared by Liquid Flair Entertainment. In the crowd were Dr. Jeff Bond, John Hobart Miller III, David Eastburn, Mike Lee, Christina Dickerson, School for the Deaf principal Carrie Rain and director Barb Goodman and Auto Palace general manager Aaron Comstock with Teresa Comstock.
