All you need is love! Well, and some tie-dyed shirts and a lot of psychedelic symbiosis to re-create the magic of the Flower Power era. The Jewish Community Center's annual "Big Night" fundraiser, "Peace Love & the IKCs" (Irene Kaufman Centers), transported nearly 900 guests Saturday to a time before cell phones, CDs and PCs, when dropping in and tuning out, protesting and black-light Beatles posters permeated the baby boomer teen years.

The JCC gym resembled a high school dance in the '60s, with peace signs and hearts decorating the tables. Greeting guests as they entered the party were hippie protestors, ice-cold Tabs and the sounds of The Get Back Band, a Beatles tribute band. The event honored John M. Wolf Sr. and was chaired by Ina and Larry Gumberg and Cheryl Gerson and Bruce Americus. Guests had no problem digging out their fringed suede jackets, bell bottoms and macrame belts. Jeff Pollock was even wearing the jeans he wore in high school. "I think it's the stress of running for office. I've lost weight."

DJ Scottro (Scott Ehrenberger) from KISS 96.1 kept the tunes turning while everyone was drinking and dining.

Rusted Root provided an end-of-evening concert with a Woodstock vibe. Feeling groovy were JCC board chair Jeff Markel with Carol Robinson, Debbie and Dan Frankel, Chuck and Kelly Schwimer, Ellen Weiss Kander, Catherine and Mark Loevner, Scott and Cindy Lieb, Cathy and Mike Samuels with daughter Rachel and JCC executive director Brian Schreiber.
