Parking Authority's Park Card use on rise
Sunday, December 09, 2001
The Pittsburgh Parking Authority is increasing the number of locations where its prepaid parking card can be used and purchased. The disposable plastic debit card allows drivers to park at golden-domed meters in the city without using coins.
Starting tomorrow, drivers will be able to use the $20 Park Card at all Squirrel Hill meters, at selected sites in Oakland, in Shadyside on Ellsworth Avenue and in East Liberty's South Highland business corridor.
In addition to parking authority garages, the cards will be available at a number of different locations, including the Jewish Community Center and Littles Shoes in Squirrel Hill, Carnegie libraries in Oakland and Squirrel Hill, and Buffalo Blues in Shadyside.
Cards also can be purchased online at www.pittsburghparkcard.com. Call 412-560-2514.
