Beaver County terminates parental rights in record time when compared with child welfare agencies across the nation. The average time for termination in Beaver County over the past five years, according to an analysis of statistics provided by Beaver County Children and Youth Services, is 19 months. Nationally, it was 40 months, and in Pennsylvania it ranged from 36 to 42 months. As the chart shows, infants' parents were terminated much more quickly than older children's parents in Beaver County.
