The 15,500 or so people running in today's Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race couldn't ask for better weather.
Meteorologist Joe Palko with the National Weather Service at Pittsburgh said the race will be run under sunny skies, with comfortable temperatures prevailing, low humidity, and only light winds.
"It will be beautiful," Mr. Palko commented.
When the proverbial starting shot is fired, the temperature will be about 51 degrees, climbing to about 62 degrees by about 11 a.m. The high today will be 72 degrees. Sunshine is expected all day.
