Though storms could continue moving through southwestern Pennsylvania through tomorrow, they should wind down for the rest of the night, according to the National Weather Service.
Storms that passed through the region this afternoon dumped close to an inch of rain in 30 minutes in some areas, National Weather Service meteorologist Fred McMullen said.
Northeastern Allegheny and northwestern Westmoreland counties could experience flash flooding through 6:45 p.m.
Four feet of water flooded Railroad Street in Springdale; two feet covered North Braddock Avenue and Meade Street in Wilkinsburg; and flooding was also reported on Verona Road.
No injuries or damage had been reported.
