An elderly Indiana County man was killed in a crash this afternoon.
State police said Robert Lee Penrod, 83, of Brush Valley, was driving north on Route 259 in his hometown when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car at 3:20 p.m.
Mr. Penrod was pronounced dead at the scene. County Deputy Coroner Jerry Overman said he died of blunt force trauma to the chest.
The driver of the other vehicle, Clayton Libengood, 70, of Cherryhill, was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center with minor injuries and later released, police said.
