Several construction projects will cause traffic restrictions starting today.
Milling and resurfacing on Castle Shannon Boulevard in Castle Shannon will cause alternating one-way traffic between Route 88 and Willow Avenue starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to borough police. The restrictions will be lifted by 5 a.m. Thursday.
Montour Run bridges No. 4 and 5 in North Fayette and Findlay will close at 7 a.m. today for rehabilitation and remain closed through mid-November, Allegheny County announced. Bridge No. 4 is on Enlow Road at Cliff Mine Road. No. 5 is on Cliff Mine Road at Oak Moss Drive. Enlow Road will be closed to through traffic at Cliff Mine Road. Cliff Mine Road will be closed to through traffic from Enlow Road to Oak Moss Drive.
A new traffic pattern will take effect on the southbound side of Brownsville Road in the construction zone today and Tuesday, the Allegheny County Public Works Department announced. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days, traffic control devices will be removed and traffic guided to a new southbound lane alignment on Brownsville from Curry Hollow to Cochrans Mill roads. Police and flaggers will direct traffic. The shift is part of the ongoing Brownsville-Broughton Road intersection project
Pavement patching will cause lane closures on Greentree Road in Scott from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. today between Lindsay Road and the railroad overpass, PennDOT said.
Intermittent lane restrictions are possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Tuesday on Route 28 between Millvale and Harmar and Freeport Road between Boyd Avenue and Guys Run Road in Harmar Township during installation of pavement reflectors.
Lane closures are possible on the Mon City Bridge carrying Route 136 over the Monongahela River during inspections from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Friday.
Camp Meeting Road was scheduled to close between Magee Road and Rochester Road in Franklin Park beginning at 7 a.m. today through late November for replacement of a culvert.
The Parkway East will be restricted overnight to one lane outbound starting at 10 p.m. today and Tuesday as part of the county's rehabilitation project on the 10th Street Bridge. Restrictions will lift by 6 a.m.
Lane and shoulder closures are possible after 8 p.m. today through Friday on the Parkway North in both directions between Exit 5-Perrysville Avenue and Exit 7-Bellevue-West View during work on the Levi Bird Duff Bridge. Work concludes by 6 a.m. daily.
Work to relocate utility poles on Route 910-Gibsonia Road in Pine will cause alternating one-way traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Wednesday between Lyndhurst Circle and Pearce Mill Road.
One eastbound lane of Interstate 70 will close overnight near Exit 6-Claysville in Washington County starting at 9 p.m. today through Friday for repairs to damaged bridge expansion dams. Work will conclude and all lanes will be open by 5 a.m. daily.
