Though Pittsburgh's seen only a light spattering so far, storms are set to blow through southwestern Pennsylvania, scaring up flood warnings throughout the region and the threat of serious winds in Fayette County.
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh issued a severe thunderstorm warning through 1:30 p.m. Sunday for southeastern Fayette County, projecting winds up to 60 mph. Get inside and avoid windows, it warned.
Earlier Sunday morning, meteorologists also launched a flood watch for Allegheny, Armstrong, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Washington and Westmoreland counties, warning that rainfall of 1-3 inches could be expected.
The flood watch lasts until late tonight.
