PennDOT has reopened Route 28 in Boggs, Armstrong County, at the site of a landslide in a construction zone.
The road reopened at 6 p.m. Wednesday, nine days ahead of schedule. Plum Contracting worked around the clock to clear the slide faster than originally expected, PennDOT spokeswoman Deborah Casadei said.
The road was closed May 31.
A project to realign Route 28 in that area and replace a bridge is expected to be completed next year.
