The former Apollo Borough police chief pleaded guilty to charges in the theft and sale of police guns and equipment, the state attorney general's office said today.
Paul Breznican Jr., 53, of Apollo pleaded guilty before Armstrong County Court of Common Pleas Judge James Panchik. Sentencing is scheduled for July 18.
Mr. Breznican was arrested in July 2012 on charges that he sold police guns and equipment purchased with federal grant money -- and kept the proceeds.
