A drug task force arrested a Greene County man and a West Virginia woman today on federal charges of heroin distribution in northern West Virginia.

Tyler Hoyle, 22, of Waynesburg, and Amanda Allison, 26, an assistant high school basketball coach in her hometown of Cameron, W.Va., made their initial appearance today in U.S. District Court in Wheeling, where a grand jury handed up an indictment on Tuesday.

Both are charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin in Cameron from January to April of this year.

Ms. Allison is also charged with distribution of oxycodone.

Ms. Allison is a former star basketball player at Cameron High School who later played in college. She was released after her court appearance and ordered to attend narcotics anonymous meetings while awaiting trial.
