Bill O'Brien was named Maxwell Club Collegiate Coach of the Year today, according to the Penn State athletic department. He beat out the other finalists, Notre Dame's Brian Kelly and Kansas State's Bill Snyder.
It is O'Brien's second coach of the year award. Earlier this month, he was named ESPN Coach of the year. He was a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award and is a finalist for the Liberty Mutual coach award and the Bear Bryant award.
