Penn State defensive tackle Devon Still was expected to be drafted late in the first round of this year's NFL Draft.
Still, however, had to wait just a bit longer than expected to hear his name called, even though ten defensive linemen were selected in the first round.
The Bengals used the 21st pick of the second round (53rd overall) to select Still Friday.
Still (6-5, 310), who is from Wilmington, Delaware, was the 2011 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and also garnered All-American and All Big Ten honors. He had 55 total tackles, 29 solo tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 4 1/2 sacks.
He is the tenth Penn State defensive lineman to be drafted since 1996 when defensive line coach Larry Johnson Sr. joined the coaching staff.
