About 50 people who ordered playoff tickets received incorrect orders in what a team spokesman called an "isolated incident" at a Tickets.com distribution center in Texas.
"We worked with Tickets.com and the distribution center to trace the origin of the issue and the small number of accounts affected," Pirates spokesman Brian Warecki said in an email. "We are fixing the issue by reprinting and express shipping the correct tickets to the correct accounts at our expense."
Less than 200 tickets of the more-than 300,000 sold for the 11 potential postseason games were shipped in error.
The Pirates said they believe they have identified all those impacted by the error, but they encourage all ticket holders to double check their orders and contact the Pirates with any issues.
