Butler Police are trying to discover who dug up a century old grave.
North Side Cemetery superintendent George Olenic called 911 at around 9 a.m. Monday after he noticed the hole, a rectangle that measured two feet wide, five feet long and four feet deep. He had not noticed any hole when he locked up the cemetery on Saturday afternoon, so police believe the hole was dug sometime between late Saturday and Monday morning.
The grave belonged to a 12-year-old who was killed by a train in 1911.
Mr. Olenic and police don't know whether there was anything in the grave to take or whether everything had decomposed.
