The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition has named Allegheny General Hospital breast surgeon Thomas Julian as this year's recipient of the Vivian and Meyer P. Potamkin Foundation Award for Breast Cancer Research.
The award is given to an outstanding leader of the breast cancer research community. Dr. Julian, associate director of the Allegheny Breast Center, is also associate professor of human oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine and associate director of medical affairs at the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project, based at AGH. He will receive the award at the coalition's annual conference Oct. 14.
