Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park schools to pay 12 more than $100,000

The Mt. Lebanon and Bethel Park school boards recently approved 2010-11 salaries for administrators and other groups.

In Mt. Lebanon, the average salary increase for administrators was 3 percent. Seven administrators earn salaries over $100,000, with Assistant Superintendent Deborah Allen the highest paid at $130,806. The board has not yet voted on the superintendent's salary.

Dr. Allen is followed in the salary list by finance director Janice Klein, with a salary of $124,541; high school principal Ronald Davis at $112,782; human resources director Stephen Scheurer at $101,432; Mellon Middle School principal Brian McFeeley at $105,344; and Jefferson Elementary School principal Michael Schnirel at $108,013; world languages and libraries supervisor Nancy Campbell at $100,532;

Over the last several weeks, the board also has approved the 2010-11 list of annual contracted salaries for custodial/maintenance employees with an average increase of 3.86 percent; for administrative assistants/supervisors, specialists and head custodians with an average increase of 2.5 percent; and 12-month secretarial/clerical employees with an average increase of 4.55 percent.

For 2010-11, the Bethel Park school district has five administrators with salaries above $100,000. The highest-paid administrator is Assistant Superintendent Nancy Aloi Rose, at $120,939. The superintendent's salary has not yet been set for 2010-11

The other administrators making more than $100,000 are: Assistant to the Superintendent Matthew Howard, at $118,920; Bethel Park High School principal Zeb Jansante, at $118,393; high school assistant principal Jerry Roman at $103,320; and Lincoln Elementary principal Dorothy Stark at $100,022.

The board also has approved salaries with an average raise of 2.9 percent for administrators, 3.6 percent for Act 93 administrators, 2.9 percent for head custodians and salaried maintenance personnel, and 2 percent for technicians and security personnel.
