The final figures show the departure package for Tony Atwater, former Indiana University of Pennsylvania president, cost more than $335,000.
Dr. Atwater, who served as president for five years, resigned effective June 30, but did not receive the final payments until today.
The package includes:
??? $253,622 for one year's salary.
??? $58,302 for 450 hours of unused vacation time.
??? $971 for 7.5 hours of unused holiday leave.
??? $22,760 retirement contribution.
??? Up to $15,000 in moving expenses, with receipts.
??? Reimbursement for COBRA health insurance coverage for one year, with receipts.
The amounts are pre-tax. The year's pay covers the time to the end of his contract.
Last month, Dr. Atwater announced he would be leaving IUP at the end of the month to become a senior fellow at to become a senior fellow with American Association of State Colleges and Universities, a Washington D.C.-based college association.
His announcement came about six months after a no-confidence vote by the faculty. Last week, the board of governors of the State System of Higher Education approved a resolution of appreciation, saying IUP "experienced record enrollment and significant academic growth" under his leadership.
