A Marine from Williamsport who was based out of North Versailles died in Afghanistan on Tuesday.

The Department of Defense identified him as Lance Cpl. Abram L. Howard, 21. He died while supporting combat operations in Helmand province.

He was assigned to headquarters and service battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of North Versailles.
