District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. (with wife Mary) was the honorary chair and big name Tuesday at the Garden Party at Animal Friends. But he was upstaged by a few dogs with oversized personalities and a big anonymous gift. One couple promised up to $100,000 to match donations to the shelter's mobile spay/neuter efforts. More than 125 attendees walked through the Ohio Township facility's brand-new Thousand Winds Memorial Garden, including board chair Marleen Ashton with Jim and event chair Gina Carlos with John.
