Dirty Ball at Old Sports Rock Cafe benefits Attack Theatre
Wednesday, May 19, 2010

It was a night for all the bad boys and naughty girls at the 5th annual Dirty Ball to benefit Attack Theatre. The April 24 event in the old Sports Rock Cafe featured 15 performances with 15 dancers to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the dance company founded by Michele de la Reza and Peter Kope. The Dirty Donor Reception kicked things off in a room covered in zebra print velour and red velvet. Richard Parsakian designed the space, which included lots of intimate seating and low lights. "He has outdone himself," said donor chairs Michele Petruccelli (dressed as Marilyn Monroe) and Manuel Reich. Once the doors opened to general admission both floors filled with more than 1,000 guests. There were plenty of libations at the multiple bars and savory bites from Culinary Artists. Two main dance floors accommodated a crush of guests in leather, lace, fishnet and all sorts of funky outfits. Among those too sexy for their spanx were party chairs Dan Iddings and Cari Marty, Tim McVay and David Bush, Bill and Vivian Benter, Cindy and Rich Engler, Rebecca Himberger and general director Donna Goyak.
