Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mike Tomczak faces a hearing on assault charges after a domestic dispute at his home in Bell Acres.

Mr. Tomczak was arrested Monday afternoon at his home after his wife called police. Police said Mr. Tomczak reportedly lunged at his wife and stepped on her foot, but did not hit her, according to KDKA-TV.

Tomczak was charged with two counts of simple assault, said Bell Acres police Chief Brian Brown.

He was released on his own recognizance.
