UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State sophomore kicker Anthony Fera has been cited for purchase/possession of alcohol by a minor.
University police found him drinking from a bottle of Cruzan Mango Rum Saturday near his residence at Nittany Apartments, according to court documents.
Fera, 18, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes and was fined more than $400. He has a preliminary hearing Monday.
Fera, from Cypress, Texas, was rated the No. 2 kicker in the country by Scout.com and Rivals.com as a senior.
He was one of the leading candidates this spring to replace record-setting punter Jeremy Boone.
