I am a widow, 71 years old, and drove myself to the movie theater in Bridgeville at night. When trying to get back in my car, I fell at the icy curb and couldn't get up.
I saw a pretty, blond woman and her handsome, strong husband leaving the theater. They saw that I couldn't get up because of all the ice, so they rushed right over. She put her arm under my right elbow, and he grasped my left arm and together they pulled me up.
They sat me in my car and told me not to attempt to drive for about 15 minutes. Luckily, I didn't break any bones. They were so kind, and all I could think to say was thank you about 10 times.
It was dark outside, but they were so attractive I wasn't a bit scared. How lucky I was that they were so kind!

On Feb. 16, I was at Pittsburgh International Airport to board a plane to Florida. I went to the men's room and removed my wedding ring to wash my hands.
I placed the wedding ring on the sink, dried my hands and walked out of the men's room to board a plane. While on the plane, I realized that my ring was left on the men's room sink.
Five hours later, after arriving in Florida, I called the airport. To my amazement, the ring had been found by an unnamed patron, who turned it over to a janitor, who turned it in to the lost and found.
No other airport in the world would this happen! Thank you, Pittsburgh.

Several weeks ago, I needed a few things at the grocery store. I went to Kuhn's in Bellevue but when I got home, I realized my wallet was missing!
This is a terrible feeling and I went racing back to the store, but no wallet had been turned in. I left my name and telephone number and raced back home to begin the onerous process of calling all the credit card companies.
Even worse, I carry my mother's credit and bank cards in order to do shopping for her when she can't get out. I called and urged her to report her cards lost immediately. My head was pounding from trying to remember what all I carried.
About an hour later, I received a call from Kuhn's saying that my wallet had been found in the parking lot. Wonderful! I drove back, but on the way I realized that if it had been found in the parking lot, things would probably be missing.
When I arrived at the office, I was given my wallet with not one item out of order! I was so grateful. I asked if they knew who found it -- it was one of the stock boys, Kevin. I asked if he could be called to the front. I thanked him profusely and insisted he take a monetary reward, which he tried very hard not to accept.
The point here is two-fold: It is heartwarming to know that there are still so many honest people in the world; second, despite all the reports of young people and their problems, attitudes and bad behavior, here's a beautiful example of a great teenager! I commend his parents for a job well done.

At a Jefferson Hills restaurant an unusual act of kindness was bestowed on us. An unknown gentleman came to our table and handed us two crisp $20 bills and said, "Happy Valentine's Day."
We refused his offer, but he just walked away and said, "Enjoy your dinner." We asked the restaurant owner who he was, and she said that he often treats people with this type of act of kindness.
We wanted to pass along his generosity by giving $20 to Ted, our waiter, and the other 20 to the nice couple who sat next to our table. This stranger was truly a Valentine's sweetheart, and we want to thank him from the bottom of our hearts.
