A Dunbar man is being held on a $250,000 bond for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl and her mother.
James I. McCabe, 48, is charged with three counts each of rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, four counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault, and one count each of statutory sexual assault and sexual assault. According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Uniontown, a 10-year-old girl reported on Friday that Mr. McCabe had sexually assaulted and fondled her multiple times. Police also say that they learned during the course of the investigation that Mr. McCabe had previously assaulted the girl's mother throughout her childhood.
Charges related to the girl's mother will be filed at a later date, police said.
Mr. McCabe is being held in the Fayette County Prison.
