Ex-McKeesport dentist pleads in federal cocaine conspiracy
Friday, March 05, 2010

A former McKeesport dentist faces up to 40 years in federal prison after he waived indictment and pleaded guilty yesterday to shipping four kilograms of cocaine to a Mount Lebanon residence, where a South Fayette police officer who was part of the drug conspiracy picked it up in full uniform.

Dr. Vincent Colosimo, 44, who now practices dentistry in Henderson, Nev., admitted that he shipped the cocaine in July 2007 and expected to be paid $90,000 after the former police officer, Bernard Golling, and a partner, Michael Monz, sold it to Pittsburgh customers.

Mr. Golling and Mr. Monz are in federal prison after pleading guilty and agreeing to cooperate, but the supplier had not been publicly identified until Thursday.

Dr. Colosimo, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh dental school in 1991 who practiced at Katsur Dental and Orthodontics, shipped the cocaine on July 9 to an address on Sleepy Hollow Road, the home of Mr. Golling's brother. But police attached to a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration task force intercepted the parcel before it got there and set up a controlled delivery. When Mr. Golling arrived in uniform to get the package, followed by Mr. Monz, agents arrested both.
