Pittsburgh police seek suspects in two homicides

The Pittsburgh homicide squad asked for help from the public in solving two separate fatal shootings this weekend.

William Ford, 31, of Penn Hills, was killed in the first shooting at 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue in Homewood. He was found at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Mr. Ford was well-known by police; he was arrested previously on drug charges and was a target of earlier gun violence.

Devin Gastion, 21, of the North Side, was killed in the second shooting at 12:16 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Holyoke Street on the North Side. He was found on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests were made in either case. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide squad at 412-323-7161. Callers can remain anonymous.
