Woman arrested in Bridgeville; meth lab cleaned up
Wednesday, February 10, 2010

A Bridgeville woman was arrested on drug trafficking charges after police went to her apartment to investigate a possible domestic disturbance.

Police have not released the woman's name.

Chief Chad King said today that police were called by a business owner on Hickman Street who was concerned about the woman's wellbeing. The suspect resides in an apartment in the same building as the business.

The woman, who had used the business telephone, told the owner she had been in a confrontation with her boyfriend.

Police arrived around 2:45 p.m. and, during the investigation, discovered there were questions as to whether the woman was a legal resident of the unit.

Police also noticed indications of a possible drug operation.

A meth lab cleanup team from the state police was called in to gather the evidence and render the apartment safe to enter, Chief King said.

State police will continue to investigate.
