Keep the questions rolling in and I will answer them every day throughout the season and March Madness.
You can follow the Panthers daily here as well as on my new Pitt basketball blog on PG-Plus. Membership in that site is only $3.99 per month or $36 per year.

Q: Ray, I can see that a lot of people are convinced on this Q&A that Dante Taylor is what this Pitt team is lacking. To all of you: What games are you watching? From my perspective, he is soft with the ball and around the rim. I have not seen one thing that would suggest he is a Big East caliber player at this point in his career. Given Coach Dixon's track record, I have no doubt he will develop. But to my question, how do you think this team will fare in a tournament style atmosphere like the Big East and NCAAs? We have 4 players(Brad Wanamaker, Ashton Gibbs, Gilbert Brown, and Jermaine Dixon) that on any given night can carry this team. And also what seed do you project this team getting?
Jim, Johnstown
FITTIPALDO: It all depends on the offense, Jim. I think this team is above average defensively and will give you a chance to win on almost every night. It's not a great defensive team, but it is one of the best in the Big East. If the offense is clicking the Panthers can be a very dangerous team that no one wants to play. Pitt is the only team to beat Syracuse this season and also has impressive victories against Louisville, Connecticut and Cincinnati. The offense played well in all of those games. However, if the offense struggles, as it did during that five-game stretch when the Panthers lost four games, they can lose to just about anyone in the league. I think Pitt will finish 10-8 in Big East play and will probably win a game at the Big East tournament. In that scenario, I see the Panthers landing a No. 7 or 8 seed, although that could change either way depending upon which teams they beat and lose to the rest of the way.
