A meeting between representatives of the Penn Hills School District and the teachers union there ended early tonight and without an agreement that would bring the striking teachers back to work.
Ryan Osorio, president of the union, the Penn Hills Education Association, said that the two-hour meeting, which finished at 6:30 p.m., was informal and "amicable" and that both sides decided to end it early because of bad weather.
The teachers will remain on strike, Mr. Osorio said. The two sides are due to meet again some time on Tuesday.
