One of the top high school boys' basketball games in the area this year has been postponed because of the snowstorm.
The Chartiers Valley at Hampton game scheduled for tonight has been moved to Wednesday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
The game matches two of the best teams in Western Pennsylvania and it was sold out by Wednesday afternoon. "Obviously, there is a lot of demand for this game or it wouldn't be a sellout. That's why we're still going to play it next week," said Hampton athletic director Bill Cardone. "We don't know how hard we're going to get hit [with snow], so we just thought it was best for everyone if we call it off until next week."
Many games in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) have been postponed tonight. A few have been moved to late afternoon.
