State police are investigating a crash in which a woman drove her car into a moving train in Westmoreland County.
Emergency personnel were summoned at about 4 a.m. Thursday to the scene, where train crews had to separate the rail cars to reach the victim, state police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken by helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian. Her condition was not immediately available.
The crash occurred as the train moved through the crossing on Orisik Hollow Road, police said.
