Council to consider funding for South Side dog park
Thursday, February 04, 2010

Pittsburgh City Council will consider whether to spend as much as $80,000 on a South Side dog park.

Legislation introduced to council Tuesday would allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to buy supplies and equipment, hire consultants and rent property, if necessary, for the park.

Though final design isn't complete, it is expected to feature a fenced-in off-leash exercise area in South Side Riverfront Park. Discussion and a tentative vote could occur Feb. 10.
