Spurs 104, Grizzlies 97: Tim Duncan scored 19 points as host San Antonio defeated Memphis.
Timberwolves 111, Clippers 97: Al Jefferson scored 12 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, and host Minnesota led by as many as 23 points in only their 10th victory this season.
An advertisement featuring Bryant and James includes a gun reference, the same week Arenas and Crittenton were suspended for carrying firearms to the locker room. The Nike ad, which appears in several publications including Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine, has James on one page and Bryant on the other. Along with the slogan, "Prepare For Combat," is a quote from each player showing how tough he is. Bryant's blurb includes " ... I don't leave anything in the chamber."
