The North Side Cultural Collaborative is celebrating its new website and first issue of "NorthSide Now," a quarterly publication, this evening from 5:30 to 7:30 at the at the New Hazlett Theater in Allegheny Square.
The event is free and open to the public. Johnny Angel is scheduled to perform, as are the Swiss Singers - a traditional group made up of the forebears of Swiss immigrants to the North Side.
"We're looking to go wide," said John Graf, president of the board and of the Priory Hotel. "We want to include the whole North Side and not just the glitzy pockets of the North Shore."
The collaborative is made up of the North Side/North Shore Chamber of Commerce and representatives of institutions that include Allegheny General Hospital, the New Hazlett Theater, the National Aviary, Children's Museum, Andy Warhol Museum and Carnegie Science Center.
The website is www.northsidenow.com.
