You might recognize a few of the folks in this picture. Abe Lincoln, for example, and of course Steely McBeam and the Pirate Parrot. There's the Make-A-Wish Star, the Eat'n Park Cookie and a rather forlorn McGruff the Crime Dog. But what's that thing that looks like a water heater? And we're still trying to figure out the undernourished rodent standing next to George Washington. This colorful and diverse cast of characters gathered recently for the Schenley Park Skating Rink's annual Mascot Skate. The rink, by the way, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this month. The Mascot Skate has been a tradition there for more than two decades.
