Thanks for participating in the Pitt basketball Q&A.

Keep the questions rolling in and I will answer them every day throughout the season and March Madness.

You can follow the Panthers daily here as well as on my new Pitt basketball blog on PG-Plus. Membership in that site is only $3.99 per month or $36 per year.

One other thing -- my weekly live Pitt basketball chats will take place Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m..

Q: What is happening to Pitt's defense? Georgetown looked quicker than the Panthers and scored a lot of uncontested baskets. Is there reason for concern?

Sam Everett, Philadelphia

FITTIPALDO: Jamie Dixon certainly is concerned. He railed against the defensive effort in his postgame nnews conference. Georgetown was the third consecutive opponent to shoot 46 percent or better from the field. The Panthers were lucky enough to win the games against Connecticut and Louisville because they won the rebounding battle and executed well offensively. The Panthers did not shoot well against Georgetown and only won the rebounding battle by one. Pitt's defense will be tested again on Sunday. Seton Hall is one of the highest scoring teams in the Big East.
