Sean Jones illustrates his jazz influences with music.

In the Frame is an occasional Post-Gazette video series on artists and the arts scene in Pittsburgh.

Sean Jones, who will be the special guest at this year's Pittsburgh Symphony "Tribute: A Symphonic Celebration of African American Culture," talks about all things jazz in a video at www.post-gazette.com/multimedia.

One of the nation's great young jazz trumpeters, Jones's solos include works by Duke Ellington and George Gershwin for the concert at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in Heinz Hall, Downtown.

Jones is a member of Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and the Duquesne University faculty.
