Q: Hi Ray, just wondering about Chase Adams -- is he injured or being disciplined for some reason? The reason I ask is that Travon Woodall seems to turn the ball over an awful lot, and in those late-game situations where Woodall is the extra guard out there, wouldn't Chase Adams be someone we might be able to count on a little more, even with free throws (I know Woodall isn't really great there, either). I understand that Woodall will be with the program longer, but with the point guard coming next year, his minutes may decrease anyway. Just wondering if Chase Adams will get to see any Big East action at all. Thanks!

FITTIPALDO: I wrote about the number of minutes that Ashton Gibbs and Travon Woodall are logging in today's Post-Gazette. Woodall is playing fewer and fewer minutes with each game, but those minutes are not going to Adams. They are going to Gibbs, who is playing almost every minute of every game. Dixon said yesterday that it is a combination of Gibbs playing too well to take him out of games and Woodall and Adams earning their playing time in practice. If Woodall continues to struggle -- he had three turnovers in eight minutes against Louisville -- then Adams could get another look in the near future. Or, Dixon could continue to go with the current rotation of players. There certainly is little reason to change.
