Penguins named to Russian Olympic team

Center Evgeni Malkin and defenseman Sergei Gonchar of the Penguins have been named to the Russian Olympic team for the 2010 Games in Vancouver.

Ex-Penguin Aleksey Morozov, now playing in the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia, also was picked for the 23-man squad.

There are 14 NHL players on the team, including Alex Ovechkin and Alexander Semin of Washington, Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk and Maxim Afinogenov of Atlanta.

The Canadian squad, which will be headlined by Penguins center Sidney Crosby, and Team USA's roster are scheduled to be announced next week.
