Vehicle crashes in Franklin Park, Penn Hills kill two
Wednesday, December 23, 2009

A McCandless man died this morning after his vehicle smashed into a tree in Franklin Park.

Robert Tseng, 23, crashed around 2:45 a.m. in the 1700 block of Locust Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene about 10 minutes later.

Mr. Tseng might have been swerving to avoid a deer, according to preliminary information from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.

He was not wearing a seatbelt, the medical examiner's office said.

An autopsy is planned for today.

Another 23-year-old man, Yerimah Tita of Turtle Creek, died last night from injuries sustained last week in a car crash in Penn Hills.

Mr. Tita was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m. at UPMC Presbyterian.

He was the lone occupant in his car Dec. 13 when it crossed the center line of Saltsburg Road in the 5800 block and hit another vehicle head on.

An autopsy is pending.
