In a rematch of last season's WPIAL Class A championship game, Davidson University recruit Droney had 28 points and Tyler Palmer 23 to lead the host Panthers to a 68-61 non-section win last night.
Heatherington had 22 points for the Eagles (4-1), who are ranked No. 2 in WPIAL Class A by the Post-Gazette.
Sewickley Academy (4-0) is ranked No. 1.

? Mt. Lebanon finished in fifth place at the prestigious Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Ariz. The Blue Devils (5-1) defeated Christ the King, N.Y., 58-40, last night. Madison Cable had 13 of her 15 points in the second quarter, which Mt. Lebanon entered trailing, 15-1, but outscored Christ the King, 25-6, during it.
