Joe Hardy, the flamboyant multi-millionaire founder of 84 Lumber, in another of his series of surprise marriages, took his fourth bride in a weekend ceremony at his swanky Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Fayette County.
Mr. Hardy, 86, married Rebecca Davis, 51, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., on Saturday. It is also her fourth marriage. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Hardy's 19-year-old son, whose name was not immediately available.
Little else is known about the bride, although the couple is believed to have met while Mr. Hardy was at his vacation home in nearby Boca Raton, Fla.
Press agents for Mr. Hardy today released photos of the ceremony.
The marriage -- which came as a surprise to many close to Mr. Hardy -- comes two years after Mr. Hardy divorced his third wife, Kristin Georgi, a native of Masontown, Fayette County. The couple wed in 2007 in a ceremony in Las Vegas.
Mr. Hardy was married for more than 50 years to his first wife, Dorothy, with whom he had five children. After the couple's divorce in 1997, he married Debra Maley, an 84 Lumber employee who was then 26, and they had two daughters before that marriage ended in divorce.
