The Pittsburgh school board will hold a special public hearing at 6 p.m. Monday on the proposal to close Pittsburgh Rooney 6-8 on the North Side at the end of the school year.
The hearing will be held at district offices in Oakland.
Administrators have proposed closing Rooney because of declining enrollment and reassigning students to other schools. Also under the proposal, Pittsburgh Morrow PreK-5 would move out of its deteriorating North Side building and occupy the Rooney building.
Residents who wish to speak at the hearing must call the superintendent's office at 412-622-3600 by noon Monday.
