Plush books
Simon & Schuster Inc. is recalling about 142,000 Monday the Bullfrog plush books. The plastic eyes on the frogs can detach, which may pose a choking hazard to young children.
Monday the Bullfrog is a plush puppet bullfrog with a board book attached to the frog's mouth. It was sold in clear plastic packaging, and the book is marked with ISBN numbers 10: 1416912312 and 13: 9781416912316 printed inside the mouth of the bullfrog.
Bookstores and retailers nationwide and online sold the books from January 2006 through November 2009 for about $18.

Cold capsules
Bayer Healthcare is recalling 100,000 packages of Alka-Seltzer cold capsules because some do not properly display warning information about drowsiness.
The recall affects less than 4 percent of packages from lot 296939L of Alka Seltzer Plus Day & Night Liquid Gels.
As a result of the labeling issue, risk information about drowsiness does not appear on all packaging for the night time capsules. The product contains separately packaged capsules of both the day and night formulation. The night formula includes an antihistamine ingredient to help users get to sleep.
The Alka Seltzer day and night formula was distributed to supermarkets.

Children's activity centers
Evenflo is recalling about 80,000 ExerSaucer 1-2-3 Tea for Me activity learning centers. The candle flame attached to the top of the cake toy can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
This recall involves Evenflo ExerSaucer 1-2-3 Tea for Me activity learning centers. The tea party themed toys have a two-tier cake that is light blue, dark pink and yellow. Models included in the recall are 6161834 and 6161920. The model numbers are printed on the packaging and on a label located on the underside of the base of the product. The recommended age for use of this product is 4 months to walking.
Toys "R" Us and juvenile product stores nationwide sold the toys from December 2007 through March 2009 for about $70.

Air conditioner/heat pumps
Goodman Co. is recalling about 30,000 air conditioner/heat pumps. The power cords can overheat, posing a burn or fire hazard.
The recall includes 5.0 kW Amana-brand, Comfort-Aire-brand and Century-brand Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner units with model numbers PTxxx3x50xx (Amana) and EKTxxx-150x (Comfort-Aire and Century) and serial numbers 0702112056 through 0804237539. The model and serial numbers are located on the control board plate found under the unit's front cover.
Goodman and heating and cooling equipment dealers nationwide from February 2007 through June 2008 for between $700 and $1,000.
Consumers should contact Goodman to receive a free replacement power cord. Commercial and institutional owners will be contacted directly and will install the power cord.

Baby hammocks
Amby Baby is recalling about 24,000 motion beds/hammocks. The side-to-side shifting or tilting of the hammock can cause the infant to roll and become entrapped or wedged against the hammock's fabric and/or mattress pad, resulting in a suffocation hazard.
The Amby Baby Motion Bed consists of a steel frame and a fabric hammock that are connected by a large spring and metal crossbar. There is only one model of the hammock available, which can be identified by a label sewn onto the hammock stating: "Amby - Babies Love It, Naturally."
Ambybaby.com and other Internet retailers sold the hammocks from January 2003 through October 2009 for about $250.

Portable nightlights
Osram Sylvania is recalling about 26,000 LED Rocketship PalPODzzz portable nightlights. The bottom plastic cover on the recharging base of the portable nightlight can break, exposing internal electrical components. This poses an electric shock hazard.
This recall involves LED Rocketship PalPODzzz portable nightlights with model number 72174. The product also can be used as an emergency light or a flashlight. The nightlight is shaped as a rocket ship and sits in a plastic recharging base that plugs into the wall. The model number and date codes "0808" or "0908" are printed on the label attached to the bottom cover of the recharging base.
The Home Depot and online retailers Amazon.com, Smarthome.com, and Sylvaniaonlinestore.com sold the lights from October 2008 through November 2009 for between $15 and $20.
