Where: Along Butler Street and adjacent blocks between McCandless and 35th streets for the annual Joy of Cookies Cookie Tour.
How far: Ten minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh.
What to do: Started in 1997 as an open house at one of Lawrenceville's boutiques, the cookie tour has spread to the whole neighborhood as a way to promote the business district. Each of the 21 stops -- marked with a gingerbread cookie sign -- offers a different cookie baked by Bernadette Ogurchak of Heaven's Scent Pastries in Forest Hills as well as holiday gifts. The tour runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Fun factor: 10. It doesn't get any better than this.
